Prospectus of the Establishment of COMS Engineering:

1) Aims at encouraging a practical use and return to the general public of a new technology smoothly. Moreover, aims at stimulating technological research and development.

2) Aims at being helpful to realize a society that guarantees a proper evaluation and reward to a developed technology.

3) Aims at searching for a method on a technology transfer and education by a new cooperation style between industry and the academic world, and at being a model of a venture business in this field.

To give an actual example, we will contribute our humble efforts to the spread of numerical simulations and engineering supports in order to establish and maintain high quality infrastructures.

The foundations of numerical simulation technology dealt in COMS Engineering are developed in the concrete laboratory, the University of Tokyo through a persistent effort for a long time. At present, the department of infrastructure system engineering, Kochi University of Technology also takes a part of development and verification of the numerical simulation.

The role of our company is not only to encourage one directional flow that m eans a new technology transfer from a university to the society, but also to provide a mutual link between them by transmitting a demand and request in business practice directly into developers. Therefore, we are exchanging the newest information simultaneously with developers.
